Dear Friends
It is with a great emotion that I am asking you to help our Dear Sister KARAK MAYIK DENYOK
as I just finished an improvised video today to help her get some financial support
to remain in the USA....she just sent me this email she has received today....

Dear Karak,
We have received reports that Sunday (Your ex-husband) has arrested David Makumbi alleging he (Makumbi) is your husband who helped you escapee to the US. When i spoke to David, he informed me that Sunday wants him (Makumbi) to produce his wife (you) and his children or else he rots in prison.
On the other hand, David is saying that if he is kept in prison, his family (Makumbi's) will also go and put your family in Uganda in prison. Call David on +211921358942 and James for more information.
Please sorry and take courage this very trying moment. I know God will guide you to overcome all this.
We are also (I, Ronald and Sam) praying that Sunday does not come for us.
Regards,
Mark S. BARASA)
Unfortunately her ex husband Sunday, member of the goverment has kidnapped her friend David, humanitarian worker too,
and is threatening to let him rot in prison, arrest his family and the family of Karak
too, if she does not come back in the trap he is preparing to kill her in her native country...
Karak as you will see in this video above is a feminine humanitarian leader in charge
of important organisations helping hundreds and thousands of women and men...to
gain education and to walk a dignified road to prosperity and well being....
Whilst the current governments are so corrupt that they would retain any charity money given for the poor for their own
personal use, Karak has always given all to the cause of poor Africans!
She helps the poorest of the poorest ....mainly the women...
She is a human right/women right activist as well as a social worker and humanitarian...
My personal feeling is that she should resist such atrocious blackmail and stay in the USA
Her humanitarian organisations need her to remain safe as she is their leader and they need her wisdom
guidance/financial support....
I suggest we all unite to write a letter/petition to
demanding to stop this horrid blackmail to take as hostages the families of Karak/David
in prison too and to demand for immediate release of her friend David....

Many Thanks for your kind and precious help!
When I did my improvised video today I did not yet know €about the kidnapping....
I might add a short one in the following days...
I am sorry for the imperfections in my video...Karak is in the USA and I could not travel to go and film her myself...
She bravely filmed herself from her own computer and so did I!
I am preparing my first cinema film on the feminine divine and I am still training...I have to do everything from A to Z, filming, editing etc ....work in progress!
The songs kindly shared by Karak are from African ladies ....
the song Hello Karak was especially created for her because of the huge impact of her work there!
Lets give a chance to Africa ...help those who have the courage to make a good difference there!
All best wishes
sister lucy

ReplyDeleteI karak Denyok the undersigned I am deeply concerned by the continued detention of David Makumbi the human rights and humanitarian worker in south Sudan for many years helping the south Sudanese women and children, he was arrested illegally by some of the solders in Juba the capital of south Sudan, On March 31/2015 till Now he is not realize from where he is kept.
DeleteI am also extremely concerned that the south Sudanese Government have yet to lift the general ban imposed against public gatherings in violation of the rights to peaceful assembly, expression, and association under international human rights law and the Constitution of south Sudan.
I urge you to take the following measure to comply with the government’s human rights obligations:
Immediately and unconditionally release David Makumbi and all detainees arrested in connection with recent demonstrations and civil unrest who are being held solely on account of their exercise of basic human rights, including the rights to peaceful assembly, expression and association;

Dear sister Lucy,

I Karak Denyok as a human rights activist, I am happy today to say something about who we are and what exactly we are ding many people don’t see or understand our role clearly but I know too well the unwavering determination needed to defend the rights of society's most vulnerable and marginalized.
ReplyDeleteFor many activists and human rights defenders, especially women, this struggle for freedom often comes with persecution, imprisonment, exile and political attacks.
As attacks on women human rights activists and defenders continue to rise, I think this 21st century is a perfect time to give the women who have and continue to Make It Happen who are champions for the freedom of others.
These women are fierce, courageous and inspire fear in the governments and groups that try to silence them. I stand in awe of my behalf and on behalf of other women and men who dedicated to human rights tough work/voluntarily pay their life to free others teach and educate others on their rights and many other risky Jobs . Some of us was shot dead in the longest war in Africa and now in 2013, face assassination.
Those human rights activist were courageous actively involved in South Sudan revolution and has been described as the South Sudanese human rights activist who fought along site with the SPLA/M for the right of many South Sudanese from Sudan until south Sudan get its independent from Sudan in July 9th 2011.
Many women were also actively involved in South Sudan post-revolution transition, calling for the inclusion of women in this process at last to recognize their important role rural women played and continue to play during the war and now. At every chance, women human rights defenders pushed for national reconciliation in the troubled country. We can all take inspiration from all the human rights activist, courageous activism. Their commitment to peace and freedom is a legacy we should all aspire to.
Dear Karak Thank you so much for keeping us informed of the latest news and we rejoice that David is now free! Please let us know how can we help you now?
ReplyDeleteAll blessings, sister lucy
Dear Sister Lucy,
ReplyDeleteSister Lucy In deeded I am very happy that David is free and pray for the rest to be free like David, the work of human rights defenders is little known and recognized in the world. In many cases, the authorities themselves are guilty of defaming those who defend human rights. In recent years, human rights defenders have been threatened, monitored, harassed, slandered, and physically assaulted as a result of their work in support of victims and various causes. Defamation and under appreciation of the work of human rights defenders have allowed these violations to continue.
I am still not with my children because I had to feel my country for my safety and many others like me escape to many neighboring countries due to fear to their life’s, I hope hoping for peace in my country and around the world such that we can rest in peace and be with our families, I am appealing to the world leaders to recognize our role as human rights defender and give us the support we need in-order to continue defending other human.
I am grateful and happy that some of my friend do understand the important of our role and they are standing be site us. I am now hoping to re united with my children I do missed them so much.
All the best Lucy
Karak
